At the heart of their offerings is the rare pink bourbon variety, cultivated at high altitudes under the careful stewardship of local farmers who carry generations of expertise.
With a commitment to fair trade and sustainability, El Faro supports growers through training, renewable energy initiatives, and programs like Empowered Women, ensuring both exceptional coffee and a thriving farming community. This meticulously produced washed pink bourbon coffee reflects the dedication of Huila’s farmers and El Faro’s mission to elevate Colombian coffee while making a lasting social impact.

What is Pink Bourbon Coffee?
Although the pink bourbon coffee variety was initially thought to be a hybrid of red and yellow bourbon strains, further research has shown that pink bourbon may be an unrelated Ethiopian landrace variety. With a sibling like the renowned geisha varietal, it’s no surprise that pink bourbon also boasts an incredible cup profile potential, plus plant disease-resistant characteristics to boot.
Although further research is required to scientifically verify pink bourbon’s heritage, you can enjoy the delightful flavor profile that this lot offers. Look for notes of nectarine, pear, melon, and citrus with a tea-like finish.
